چکیده
Abstract We present the comparison of source-partitioned CO 2 flux measurements with a high-resolution urban emissions inventory (Hestia). Tower-based and 14 C are used to partition net into fossil biogenic components. A footprint model is quantify spatial variation in measurements. compare daily cycle structure Hestia eddy-covariance derived fuel on seasonal basis. exceed measured by 0.36 µ mol m ?2 s ?1 (3.2%) cold season 0.62 (9.1%) warm season. The fluxes both products matches closely, correlations hourly mean 0.86 (cold season) 0.93 (warm season). spatially averaged also agree each persistent pattern differences during seasons that may suggest bias related residential heating emissions. In addition, season, magnitudes average daytime biological uptake nighttime respiration at this site approximately 15% 27% over same time period, contradicting common assumptions no significant exchange northern cities winter. This work demonstrates effectiveness using trace gas ratios adapt environments for disaggregating anthropogenic ecosystem high temporal resolution.

11 Airborne measurements within the urban mixing layer (360 m) over Greater London are used to quantify CO2 12 emissions at the meso-scale. Daytime CO2 fluxes, calculated by the Integrative Mass Boundary Layer (IMBL) 13 method, ranged from 46 to 104 μmol CO2 m -2 s -1 for four days in October 2011. The day-to-day variability of 14 IMBL fluxes is at the same order of magnitude as for surface edd...

متن کاملEddy covariance measurements and parameterisation of traffic related particle emissions in an urban environment
Urban aerosol sources are important due to the health effects of particles and their potential impact on climate. Our aim has been to quantify and parameterise the urban aerosol source number flux F (particles m−2 s−1), in order to help improve how this source is represented in air quality and climate models. We applied an aerosol eddy covariance flux system 118.0 m above the city of Stockholm....
متن کاملEddy covariance flux measurements of pollutant gases in urban Mexico City
Eddy covariance (EC) flux measurements of the atmosphere/surface exchange of gases over an urban area are a direct way to improve and evaluate emissions inventories, and, in turn, to better understand urban atmospheric chemistry and the role that cities play in regional and global chemical cycles. As part of the MCMA-2003 study, we demonstrated the feasibility of using eddy covariance technique...
